European document collaboration services
Write together on documents stored in Europe
Replaces: Dropbox · Google Docs · Microsoft 365 Online
A document collaboration service lets several people edit the same text, spreadsheet or presentation in a browser, with changes appearing live and a version history behind them. Comments, suggestions and share links replace mailing attachments back and forth. Most bundle storage, folder sharing and access permissions, so the document and the team working on it stay in one place.
Contracts, salary tables and strategy decks tend to end up in these tools, which is a lot of trust to place in a provider on another continent. Nextcloud Office, Proton Docs and Infomaniak kDrive keep files with European operators. A European alternative to a US office suite also tends to be friendlier on export: check that documents come out in open formats you can open elsewhere.
