XWiki is an open source platform for knowledge management and collaboration, built in Europe in Java and licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Teams write in a browser based WYSIWYG editor and organise material in nested pages with version history and granular permissions. Templates allow content to be reused, forms and custom metadata add structure, and multilingual content is supported.
XWiki Cloud is hosted in France with OVHcloud, certified under ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3, and organisations that need full data sovereignty can run the same code on their own servers. That makes XWiki a European alternative to the American wiki platforms for companies that want documentation they control.
Pricing
XWiki is free to download and self-host. Commercial plans with professional support run from 1.74 euros to 2.94 euros per user per month and add features such as the Confluence Migrator, LDAP connectivity, single sign-on, third party integrations and extended support.
