European consent management platforms (cmp)

A consent management platform shows the cookie banner on your site, records what each visitor agreed to, and blocks or releases scripts based on that choice. It keeps a log you can produce if a regulator asks, and it usually maps your tags to purposes such as analytics, marketing or personalisation. Most also cover rules beyond Europe, including the CCPA in California and the LGPD in Brazil.

There is something odd about handing your GDPR evidence to a processor outside the EU, and consent records are personal data in their own right.
