Replaces Postmark
European alternatives to Postmark
Reliable transactional email from EU providers
Browse the category: Transactional email services · Email marketing services
Postmark is a transactional email service built around fast, reliable delivery of application generated mail: receipts, password resets, notifications and alerts. It keeps that traffic separate from bulk marketing sending, which helps protect sender reputation, and gives developers detailed logs and webhooks so support staff can see exactly what happened to one specific message.
A delivery log is a record of who your customers are and when they were contacted, held by whoever does the sending. Teams that must name an EU processor in their privacy documentation, or that answer to procurement rules, want that supplier inside Europe. Moving to a European alternative to Postmark is mostly a change of credentials. Sweego and Scaleway TEM offer API and SMTP sending, and EmailLabs is another option for larger volumes.

Questions
Will I keep detailed delivery logs?
Message logs, bounce handling and webhooks are standard in this category, though the retention period and level of detail differ. Compare what Sweego, Lettermint and EmailLabs actually store before choosing.
Can I run marketing mail through the same provider?
Brevo and rapidmail cover campaigns as well as automated messages if you prefer one supplier. Keeping transactional traffic on a separate service is still a reasonable choice for reputation reasons.
What does the switch involve?
Typically new API credentials or SMTP settings, updated DNS records for your sending domain, and a warm up period. Scaleway TEM and EmailConnect describe their onboarding steps in their documentation.
