metaGer

metaGer is a German search engine that works as a metasearch: it queries several other search providers and combines what they return into one result list. It is run by a non-profit association, its source code is open, and the project puts a lot of weight on protecting the privacy of the people searching.

Ad-free searching works with tokens: each search costs one token, and 500 tokens cost 5 euro.
