DNS4EU is a public DNS resolver funded by the European Commission and operated from the Czech Republic. It offers several profiles for different needs, including ones that block advertising, filter malicious domains or apply content restrictions for children, and its website carries setup guides for all major operating systems.
Every server sits inside an EU member state, and the service supports DNS over HTTPS, DNS over TLS and DNSSEC. Limited logs are kept for operations and security, with collected IP addresses anonymised. Free of charge and EU funded, it is the most direct European alternative to the big American resolvers.
