Digitalcourage is a German non-profit organisation that operates a public DNS resolver anyone can point their devices at. The resolver is hosted in Germany and supports DNS over TLS, so lookups can be encrypted between your device and the server.
Being run by a German civil rights organisation makes this a European alternative to the large American public resolvers. Note that the page explaining the service is only available in German. It suits privacy minded users who are comfortable changing DNS settings themselves.
