Artikel10 is a public DNS resolver operated by the German non-profit association Artikel10 e.V. It answers queries over DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS, so lookups are encrypted between your device and the resolver instead of travelling across the network in the clear.
Being run by a German association rather than a commercial company makes it a European alternative to the public resolvers of Google and Cloudflare. It suits individuals who prefer encrypted DNS from a non-profit rather than from a provider that also sells advertising.
