Tuta Mail

Tuta Mail is an email provider focused on security and privacy, offering calendar and contact management alongside the mailbox. Emails, calendar entries and contacts are end to end encrypted, so not even the provider can read them because decryption happens only on the client.

That design means mail is retrieved through Tuta's own clients, which exist for the browser, iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux. The service is open source, hosted in data centres around Germany and powered by renewable energy, making it a European alternative to US email providers for anyone who wants encrypted mail by default.

There is a free plan. The first paid plan starts at EUR 3 per month and adds custom domains with unlimited email addresses.
