OpenTalk is a video conferencing software from Germany, made by the Heinlein Gruppe, which also runs the email provider mailbox.org. It has break-out rooms, a voting system and moderation that can be shared between several people, so larger meetings and workshops stay manageable. On-premise hosting is available with an enterprise version and support.
OpenTalk is open source under the EUPL, the European Public Licence written for the legal framework of the EU, and the hosted service runs on Heinlein Gruppe infrastructure in Germany. That makes it a thoroughly European alternative to the American conferencing tools, well suited to public bodies and schools.
Pricing
The free plan allows calls of up to 30 minutes with a maximum of 5 participants. Paid plans start at 7.50 euro per user.
