Librewolf

LibreWolf is an independent, custom version of Firefox built around privacy, security and user freedom. It hardens the browser against tracking and fingerprinting, removes telemetry, data collection and sponsored shortcuts, and disables features such as DRM. DuckDuckGo is the default search engine, Firefox Sync is disabled and cookies and history are deleted when the browser closes, though these settings can be changed.

LibreWolf is a self-hosted open source project maintained by a community rather than by a European company, so it is not necessarily European, although development happens on the German platform Codeberg. Builds exist for Linux, Windows and macOS. As a European alternative among web browsers, it suits people who want strict privacy defaults from the start.
