FranceJoplin is an open source note-taking application with end-to-end encryption. You can create, organise and synchronise notes across several devices, keep everything in local storage, or sync through third-party cloud services. The company operating the associated Joplin Cloud service is based in France.
Because the application is open source and the data can stay local or on European servers, control over the notes remains with the user at all times. As a European alternative to the American note apps, Joplin works on desktop and mobile and suits private notes as well as professional use.
Pricing
The Joplin app itself is free. Syncing through Joplin Cloud is a paid service that starts at 2.99 euros per month.
