Impossible Cloud
Sovereign European cloud storage, built in Germany
Impossible Cloud is an enterprise cloud storage and object storage provider developed in Germany. It is fully compatible with the S3 API, so existing backup and data management tools can be pointed at it with little work, and it offers multi-layer encryption, Object Lock for immutable data, IAM, multi-factor authentication and versioning.
Data is stored exclusively in ISO-certified, geo-fenced data centres in Europe, which is what the company means by European data sovereignty. As a European alternative to the American storage clouds, it suits businesses and partners that need backups and archives to stay on this continent.
Pricing
A free trial gives up to 5 TB for 30 days. Pay-per-use storage costs 7.99 euros per TB per month, billed per terabyte rather than per gigabyte, and reserved capacity plans from 25 TB with terms of one to five years bring the price down.
