gridscale
German cloud platform with servers across Europe
gridscale is a cloud computing platform based in Germany. It covers the usual building blocks: virtual servers, managed Kubernetes, load balancers and object storage, plus managed databases including Postgres, Microsoft SQL, MariaDB, MySQL and Redis, which can run as a cache or as storage. Managed NFS servers are available as well, which helps when data has to be shared between Kubernetes nodes.
Servers run in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and all gridscale data centres are powered by renewable energy, so it works as a European alternative to the large US clouds. It suits teams that want transparent pricing and infrastructure that stays inside Europe.
Pricing
Pricing is published openly. Virtual servers start at 27 euros per month and managed databases at 50 euros per month.
