European identity and access management (IAM) services
Single sign-on run under European jurisdiction
An identity and access management service holds your user accounts and decides what each of them may reach. Its main job in practice is single sign-on: one login gives a person access to many applications, through a redirect to a central login page that returns a signed token. Standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect and SAML make that work across products from different vendors.
An IAM system holds names, email addresses, group memberships and a full record of who logged in from where, which is about as sensitive as an internal directory gets. ZITADEL, cidaas and Keycloak are European entries, and some can be self hosted. Standards based protocols are what make a European alternative for single sign-on practical: your applications keep working if you change provider.
