Wire is a team communication service from Switzerland with apps for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux. Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted, and the applications are open source, so the code that handles that encryption can be inspected by anyone.

A Swiss base, encryption by default and open source clients make Wire a European alternative to the American team chat tools. It suits organisations that treat the confidentiality of internal communication as a requirement rather than a nice extra.
