Shelly is a Bulgarian home automation manufacturer, the Shelly Group in Sofia, making Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smart relays, plugs, dimmers and sensors. The devices work locally and expose an open API, so they can be driven from your own network as well as through the free Shelly Smart Control app and cloud.

A Bulgarian manufacturer with an open local API makes Shelly a European alternative to the American smart home hardware. The devices are widely used with Home Assistant, Homey and other hubs, so they suit people who want to add switching and measurement to an existing installation without being locked into one ecosystem.
