Does IcyZip work with AirDrop?

It uses its own browser pairing and does not join Apple’s AirDrop network. Open IcyZip on both devices and pair them by QR code or link.

Can I send files without installing an app?

Yes. IcyZip currently works without an account or app and is free to use. Each transfer supports one selected file up to 25 MiB; both browsers must remain open and online.

Are transfers local or hosted in the EU?

IcyZip uses an internet relay for browser-encrypted text and file bytes. Its public website and configured transfer endpoint use a Hetzner IP in Falkenstein, Germany. Backend and backup locations remain unverified. File names, types, sizes and connection metadata remain visible to the service.
