Vikunja is an open source project management software that organises work into projects and subprojects. Tasks appear as lists, Kanban boards, Gantt charts or tables, with due dates, labels, recurring tasks, email reminders and assignment to team members. CalDAV and an API connect it to existing calendars and tools, and it is built with a Go backend and a Vue.js frontend.
Self-hosting is free, and the managed cloud runs on Hetzner in Germany and Finland on green energy, with one percent of revenue going to CO2 removal through Stripe Climate. As an open source European alternative to the American task trackers, it suits teams that want their planning data under their own control.
Pricing
The cloud service costs 4 euros per month per account for personal use and 5 euros per month per account for organisations. Self-hosting is free, and consulting or custom development is available for a fee on request.
