komoot is a navigation service from Germany built for the outdoors. You can put together your own routes and follow hiking and cycling trails that other navigation services do not carry, then use the result for turn-by-turn navigation on the way.
The company is based in Germany, so it is a European alternative to the American navigation apps. It suits hikers, cyclists and anyone planning trips away from the main road network, on holiday or at the weekend.
Navigation with online maps is free. Offline maps for a specific region cost a one-time 3.99 euros, and komoot Premium at 4.99 euros per month adds worldwide offline maps and more planning features.
