Clever Cloud SAS is the verified French operator. It states that its capital is European and that it has no US subsidiary, but this review did not obtain a current shareholder or voting/veto-rights table establishing ultimate control. Founder and management identities, historical minority funding and French registration do not fill that gap. Ultimate control remains unresolved.
Clever Cloud SAS runs a platform for deploying applications, managed databases and object storage, with automatic scaling and usage-based billing. The operator is registered in Nantes under RCS 524 172 699, at 4 rue Voltaire, 44000 Nantes, VAT FR87524172699.
French law and Nantes courts govern its published terms. Workloads can use Clever Cloud's Paris infrastructure or selected partner regions, including locations outside Europe. Choose the workload, backup and support arrangements explicitly; a French operator alone does not guarantee European control or EU-only processing.
Billed by the second, with prices depending on product, size and region. The live Paris calculator on 17 September 2026 showed Node.js/Bun pico at €4.50 per 30 days, nano €6 and XS €16, excluding tax. Free trial credits are offered without a payment card. PostgreSQL DEV is free with 256 MiB storage and five connections, but has shared resources, no backups and no SLA; production databases, storage and other services are priced separately.

Why this matters
Published MX records route incoming business email through Google Workspace. Correspondent details and message content can therefore enter this non-European provider's systems; MX does not reveal the configured storage region.
