About W Social
W is a social network for short posts, built as an alternative to X. Anyone who posts must first prove with an identity document that they are a real person. It runs on the AT Protocol, the open network behind Bluesky, and has been in public beta since June 2026.
Ownership
W Social AB, a Stockholm company registered in September 2025, runs the W social network. Its board is chaired by Ingmar Rentzhog, founder of We Don't Have Time, and Anna Zeiter is the CEO. A separate company, W Social & Friends AB, exists to hold shares in it, but neither company's shareholders are public.
