About BeReal
BeReal is a photo-sharing app that asks users once a day to post a picture taken with the front and back cameras at the same moment. It is based in Paris. Since 2024 it has been part of the French games and apps company Voodoo.
Ownership
BeReal SAS was bought in June 2024 by Voodoo SAS, a Paris mobile games and apps company, which is also BeReal's legal president. In 2020 Voodoo said Yazdi would remain its largest shareholder and, with management, keep control. Minority holders include Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (14.9 percent at the end of 2025), Tencent and a Goldman Sachs fund.
