About Eurosky

Eurosky gives you an account on the AT Protocol, the open network behind Bluesky, with your identity and posts stored in Europe instead of on Bluesky's servers in the United States. The same account works in Bluesky, Flashes and other apps on the network. Eurosky's own microblogging app, mu, launched in June 2026.

Ownership

Eurosky and its app mu are run by Stichting Modal, a non-profit foundation in The Hague founded in November 2025, which grew out of the Free Our Feeds campaign. A foundation has no shareholders; its board, chaired by Ivan Sigal, decides. It is funded by donations and grants, including from Germany's federal agency for breakthrough innovation SPRIND and from SIDN fonds.
