Register No. 004
Is Aivie European?
Yes. Aivie is under verified European control.
Aivie is operated by Idea 2 Collective GmbH in Zurich (CHE-171.489.514). The current Zurich commercial register lists Adrian Schimpf as sole member with all 200 shares of CHF 100 and individual signing authority, following the September 2023 transfer. This establishes Swiss control. The June 2021 terms choose Swiss law and Zurich (Zurich 4) courts. A data-processing agreement is available on request; its text was not reviewed.

Operations
Who runs the parts of the service we could observe from outside, checked 15 September 2026. A provider's control can differ from where its servers stand.
| Part | Provider | Provider control | What we saw |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core hosting | Google Cloud / Google Ireland Limited | Not European | Aivie processor notice dated 2 April 2026 names Google for application hosting in Zurich, Frankfurt or a customer-selected location. These are company region claims; Google provider control remains separate from storage location. [1] |
| Core hosting | Nine Internet Solutions | Unknown | Aivie names Nine for application hosting in Zurich. The selected provider depends on the setup; ultimate provider control was not established in this review. [1] |
| Public website | CYON cyon AG | Unknown | A 149.126.4.10, AS47302; NS ns1.cyon.ch and ns2.cyon.ch. Public website routing does not establish the managed application location or cyon ultimate control. [1] [2] [3] |
| Incoming email | Google Workspace | Not European | MX aspmx.l.google.com and alt1/alt2/alt3/alt4.aspmx.l.google.com. Corporate incoming mail; tenant data location is not exposed. [1] |
| Outgoing email | Google Workspace | Not European | SPF _spf.google.com; public SPF authorization, not a measurement of actual sending flows. [1] |
| Outgoing email | Google Firebase | Not European | SPF _spf.firebasemail.com; public SPF authorization, not a measurement of actual sending flows. [1] |
| Outgoing email | bexio | European | SPF _spf.bexio.com; public SPF authorization, not a measurement of actual sending flows. [1] |
| Outgoing email | Amazon SES / AWS EMEA | Not European | Aivie lists AWS EMEA in Frankfurt for email delivery. email.aivie.ch MX points to feedback-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonses.com and SPF authorizes amazonses.com. These records identify a sending domain, not every customer delivery route. [1] [2] [3] |
| Outgoing email | mailomat / mailXpert GmbH | Unknown | Optional All Swiss Infrastructure add-on: Aivie says mailomat handles delivery on Swiss infrastructure. mailomat names mailXpert GmbH, CHE-166.546.141. This option is absent from the April 2026 subprocessor table; provider ultimate control was not established here. [1] [2] [3] |
| Public website | Google Cloud CDN / network | Not European | cdn.aivie.ch A 35.190.91.242, AS396982. This is a separate public asset host; the IP does not reveal a private tenant region. [1] [2] |
| Supporting service | Backup, log and monitoring storage | Unknown | Aivie describes separate backup storage in the same legal area. Its optional All Swiss add-on keeps backups, logs and monitoring in Switzerland. Exact suppliers, sites, retention and tenant configuration were not independently established. [1] [2] |
| Supporting service | OpenAI (optional AI) | Not European | The processor notice lists ChatGPT for optional customer-enabled content processing, with worldwide processing. The website policy also describes US processing for the email assistant; this is not required for every customer. [1] [2] |
| Supporting service | Google Gemini (optional AI) | Not European | The processor notice lists Gemini with EU processing for optional customer-enabled AI. The stated region does not change provider control. [1] |
| Supporting service | Google Analytics / reCAPTCHA | Not European | The website privacy policy names Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA, with US-transfer language for analytics. This documents website dependencies, not a complete production traffic audit. [1] |
| Supporting service | Facebook / Meta | Not European | The website privacy policy names Facebook Pixel. Its legacy Privacy Shield references are not treated as proof of current transfer safeguards. [1] |
| Supporting service | Postmark / ActiveCampaign | Not European | _dmarc.aivie.ch requests aggregate DMARC reports at dmarc.postmarkapp.com, with p=reject and sp=reject. This is a reporting destination, not evidence that Postmark sends campaign email. [1] |
| Payments | Undisclosed payment processor | Unknown | The June 2021 terms permit credit cards or online payment services such as PayPal and third-party processing. The current card processor and payment data regions were not established. [1] |
The April 2026 subprocessor notice names Google for Zurich, Frankfurt or a selected region, Nine for Zurich hosting, and AWS EMEA for Frankfurt email delivery. An optional All Swiss add-on advertises mailomat delivery and Swiss backups, logs and monitoring; its scope needs to be reflected in the customer agreement. Website DNS points to cyon, the CDN to Google, and corporate MX to Google Workspace. SPF authorizes Google, Firebase and bexio; DMARC reports go to Postmark. Optional AI uses OpenAI or Gemini. Provider control differs from data location; exact backup sites and the current payment processor remain undisclosed.
