ModernMT is a machine translation service from Italy. It learns from the corrections you make and adapts to the context of a whole document instead of looking only at the previous sentence, so terminology and tone stay consistent across a long text. The parent company, Translated, is also Italian and offers human reviewed translation alongside access to the machine translation API.

For European companies it is a European alternative to the American translation APIs, with the processing done by an Italian provider. It suits translators, localisation teams and developers who need translation inside their own applications.

Pricing

Machine translation is free for up to 5,000 characters at a time. The batch plan for enterprises with direct API access starts at 8 US dollars per million characters, and a model that adapts to a translator's personal style costs 25 US dollars per month.
