Register No. 108

Is DxO European?

Unresolved

Not established. Public sources do not show who ultimately controls DxO.

DxO Labs is a French company whose registered president is its founder, Jérôme Ménière. The president of a French SAS does not have to own it, and no public source shows who holds the shares or the votes. France closed public access to its beneficial-owner register in July 2024, so the controller cannot be confirmed from open sources.

About DxO

DxO makes photo editing software: DxO PhotoLab, a RAW editor, DxO PureRAW, which cleans up RAW files before they are edited elsewhere, the Nik Collection plugins and DxO FilmPack. The company, DxO Labs, is based in Boulogne-Billancourt next to Paris and had 50 to 99 employees in 2024. It has worked under a court-approved continuation plan since a 2018 receivership.

Ownership

DxO Labs SAS (RCS Nanterre 444 777 577) publishes DxO PhotoLab, PureRAW, FilmPack and the Nik Collection, and its registered president is its founder, Jérôme Ménière. It kept the software business through a 2017 split that moved part of its activity into a separate company, Image Labs, now DXOMARK Image Labs, and through a 2018 receivership that ended in a ten-year continuation plan, which the Nanterre court modified on 11 June 2026. No public source names its shareholders, and the French beneficial-owner register has not been open to the public since July 2024.
