Register No. 110

Is Opera European?

Not European

No. Opera is controlled from China.

Opera is developed and headquartered in Norway, but its parent company is about 68% owned by Kunlun Tech, a Beijing company listed in Shenzhen. Opera's own annual report says Kunlun and its executive chairman Zhou Yahui, who controls Kunlun, can decide shareholder votes, including who sits on the board. Control therefore sits in China.
