About Jolla
Jolla is the Finnish company behind Sailfish OS, a Linux-based mobile operating system, and the Jolla Phone, which started shipping in July 2026. The phones are assembled in Salo, Finland.
Ownership
Jolla Mobile Oy, called Jollyboys Oy until January 2025, took over Jolla's business in November 2023, when the former management bought it during a court-approved restructuring of the old Jolla Oy. A holding company, Jolla Group Oy, was set up in 2024 under the same chair, Antti Saarnio. Neither company publishes its shareholders, and the 2023 announcement mentions more than 10 million euros of funding from investors it does not name.
